Lets go back to the pandemic, gyms, schools, parks and life as we once knew was shut down. It was a dark time for many inI cluding for myself. Fear of losing my family to an unfamiliar disease sparked a desire to eat healthy and start a weight loss journey. Eat more oats, sweet potatoes and eliminate sugar was part of the challenge.
I knew I wanted to eat healthy but I also wanted to enjoy what I was eating. So, I got in the kitchen and created "Doatnut"
I started this journey with a tiny coffee grinder making oat flour from steel cut oats. We quickly moved in a shared commercial kitchen. In 2022 we opened our very own Doatnut Shop in Oceanside, CA.
The tiny grinder and the tiny home kitchen grew into an industrial milling machine, restaurant equipment and my very own shop.
